Product Review – The Shy Pig

The Shy Pig bottle front and back
A white wine that accompanied a family Bank Holiday lunch. Light and refreshing, this is a wine-based drink from Australia. My family and I found it very enjoyable.

Despite the “wine-based” label, which indicates 75% wine with the remainder made up of water and/or unfermened fruit juice, it had an ABV of 10.5%. In fact for the lower price, and the easy drinking nature of Shy Pig, it seems a fair trade, although it should be made clearer by retailers that this not 100% wine.
